Chapter 12/16
1. The story of king Solomon was that he chopped a baby in half and Jim thought it was foolish to chop a baby in half, but he also did not believe that the story was true
2. When Finn and Jim were separated in the fog, Finn then found Jim and decided to mess with him to make him think that he was dreaming by waking him up. It shows that Jim kinda cares for Finn because with out him he wouldn't be were he is now.
3. I think one of the reason why he is suspicious is because he isn't as smart as Finn and he is now figuring out things that Jim didn't know about.
4. It tells that he doesn't care that he is helping a Jim out even though he was a slave.
5. When they were looking for the 5 slaves Finn didn't give up Jim because it looked like Finn actually cares for him and didn't care that h was slave.
Chapter 17/21
1. When Huck was on his way he ended up being on Granger property they surrounded him with dogs n then Huck said that he fell off a steamboat and gave them a fake name. They took him to there place and the kid Buck took him inside to get dry clothes. The family also fed him and let him stay. The family seems to be nice and actually care for Huck .
2. In chapter 18 Buck explains to Huck that his family and the Shepherdsons family have been fighting for 30 years. When they were walking the woods the Shepherdsons shot at them and end up killing Buck. they would fight over what job they would get farmer or rancher and thats the reason why they have been fighting for so long. I think why he put this in his novel was because he was trying to show people that it was like that back then.,
4. There was a 70 year old man and a kid selling articles to get tar out of there teeth bu then the people wanted to tar and feather them because they ripped them off then Huck was suspicious because he knew that they were going to lie
Chapter 22/26
1.the play that they wrote was so men would be more attracted and come see. They used it as a strategy to make people think that Arkansas was fighting for slavery and to not have women rights. By doing that the people who agreed with the play would be supporting them. They also said that there were no women or children allowed at the play.
2.If Huck tells Jim, Jim would be really confused and not get whats happening because he thinks that they are kings ut they aren't. If Huck did tell him think that JIm would lose trust in Huck and wouldn't want him to help Huck.
3. WIlk dies and they had a plane to take there land and money and Huck felt bad because they were stealing from a poor family
4. what gave away from the king was his accent because the doctor called him out for it and said that his accent was terrible and.
5.the king thought about stealing the 6,000 in gold but held back and went to go see if he could make more by selling land to the slaves.
Chapter 27/30
1.People stayed up with the dead to look out for rodents and insects to make sure that they didn't mess with the body when they were dead. An other reason why they did this was because tradition they would sometimes do some rituals on the body this was also really religious and was important to them because they were really religious back then. This was also to have a much more closer relationship with who ever died.
2.when your read through the book you can tell that Huck is more empathetic for people and is caring. He also seems like he dose not care about race he sees them in a different way then the others. When he saw Mary Jane was hurt so he helped her by saying that the family would be reunited.
3. The lawyer made all four guys sing the paper so that he would compare with the letters, that was the first method then the king made a lie to get of it. Then the second method. Harvey who is the real brother mentions a tattoo that is on his brothers chest to the undertaker which brings up more questions about the tattoo which would be seen by the undertaker and would confirm to see who was fake.
Chapter 31/35
1.Jim was captured because there of flyers which then means that Jim would have to go back to slavery. The Huck wrote a letter Miss Watson to tell where Jim was at bu then that would show that Huck is helping a slave escape so then Huck started to pray that Jim would find Miss Watson but when he was praying that's not what he really wanted which is why its called "Praying For A lie". Huck also started praying that he would not do anything bad again but Huck knows that that is not gonna happen.
2. Huck was going to write a letter to Tom Sawyer so then Tom could tell Miss Watson the details about JIm nut no matter what Huck would still loose Jim. Miss Watson would just sell or Jim could tell the story of when Huck and JIm were together when he was a run a way slave then the whole town would know about what Huck did and people would now know that hes alive.
3. When Huck was disappointed in Tom it kinda is being hypocritical because Huck didn't do anything to help Jim when Tom did try something to help him.
